Possibly an unpopular opinion:
You can’t do magick to “see if if works”. You also can’t pray to a deity or attempt to contact one “to see if it works”. It’s about intent and concentration. If you try to prove that something based on mindset doesn’t work it ain’t gonna work cause your mindset is wrong.
Faith and commitment. It’s okey to be a little sceptical but if you keep thinking “wow this is such bullshit” during a spell/ritual then it’s not gonna work.
Decide whether or not you believe magick is real and if you don’t then it’s not gonna work for you.
You have to commit your intentions and mindset to it working in order for it to do so. Focus your mind on the thoughts that it will work and then it will. Otherwise it won’t.
Those you don’t believe in magick will never find it.
